Why I Love My Riese & Muller Nevo 3 - Ride Happy Club Member, Warren
I took a test ride just for fun, not really shopping for a new bike. I was immediately impressed by the solid feel of the ride even though it was a low step frame. My then low step model's frame flexed when riding through street bumps and potholes. The R&M felt solid and had no flex. The convenience of low step but a sporty feeling ride. I was sold.
I do most errands and grocery shopping (2 full grocery bags no problem) on my bike. Picking berries at the Gorge Whitehouse, a craft fair or wine tasting in Odell, all an easy ride out and no parking hassle when I arrive (in regular street clothes, not sweaty bike clothes). The car now stays parked in the driveway a lot.
As the terrain varies I can easily just tweak the gearing. Pull up to a stop sign or traffic light and shift gears while stopped. Seems a small thing but makes riding convenient and pleasant. Also the eMTB gear setting is a great feature when riding varying terrain. Almost like an auto shifting system.
*OEB note: Warren has the "Vario" model equipped with the Enviolo continuous hub gear and Gates carbon belt drive.
Then a ride out through the twin tunnels on the Old Highway trail or into the valley on the Eastside Road is a wonderful cruising bike ride.
Want to exercise or just cruise? No problem. Pick which you want at any time independent of the terrain." - Warren M.
