Matt and Jodie here from Oregon E-bikes and we are here live with our new rental fleet of Gazelle Ultimate T10 electric bikes.
We actually got to put them to the test last night. We took a team ride out to the Mosier Twin Tunnels Trail. That's a beautiful, 5-mile stretch of car-free riding up on the plateau overlooking the Columbia River.
It's about a five minute ride from here, so that's where 99% of our renters choose to go because it's just that much of a crowd pleaser and we love it too.
Matt: I think it's one of the
top five e bike rides in the country. It got rated.
Jodie: So come out and try the trail, and you'll be especially stoked to try it on the Gazelle Ultimate T10.
Matt: Sure will. We tested many rental bikes trying to see which bike we want to choose for this year's rental bike and we chose the Gazelle Ultimate T10 for a couple reasons.
One, the most comfortable ride at this price range. A big part of it is the way Gazelle integrated the battery motor and this step-through frame. You know it's still a very strong stiff frame so you get a really steady smooth ride dampened by this front shock here integrated into it.
Ergon Comfort Grips - super comfy. Easy on and off for customers with that step through frame. And just a really comfortable sitting position that you can adjust really easily.
And everyone last night - they just kept raving about how, wow, they were
really impressed. This, for a rental bike, it's amazing, and for a bike if you're
thinking of purchasing - great value for the money, especially with this new
Bosch system.
Jodie: Yeah one of the notable pieces of feedback from last night was how smooth, and also powerful, this Gen 3 Bosch Performance Line Motor is. That, equipped with the battery that you mentioned here, it's got a hefty range 30 to 80 miles - somewhere in that realm.
So whether it's our renters that are going for the day or any of you riders out there that are looking for something to commute on or recreate on, it will have a really nice combination that also gives plenty of power up the steep hills.
Matt: For sure. And I think the value for the money - you've got Shimano XT Deore derailer and shifters, so really nice shifting. Integrated front and rear lights. One of the nicest
rear racks in the industry that you can easily strap things on top or on the side.
Integrated fenders, front and rear, and it comes with a cafe lock so if you're just stopping in for a quick coffee or something and want to just have it locked out front.
That's integrated with it.
So value for the money - incredible comfort amazing one of the best e bikes we have going this year.
Jodie: You can tell that we like it but don't take our word for it. Come and try them. Give us a call and we'll help you out on the Gazelle Ultimate T10.
A day devoted to YOU to thank you for supporting us this year. We're celebrating with the last Paved Group Ride of the season, sweet prizes, hot eats, cool treats, and e-bike prices that can't be beat.
E-Cargo bikes make the mundane extraordinary. When every errand becomes an adventure, you'll jump at the chance to ditch your car and hit the road on two-wheels! To hop on the e-cargo train, you need choose between the two main types of bikes: Longtail or Front Loader.
Summertime typically beckons us outdoors, but sometimes it's easier to find a reason to skip an adventure for a social media scroll in the A/C. Excuses range from big ("It's 95 degrees and I'm too busy!") to small ("I don't feel like loading up to drive to the trailhead").Here are 8 ways an electric mountain bike (eMTB) blasts those excuses into the sun and leaves you Riding Happy.
Tern’s new, ultra-compact electric cargo bike will make “No Bad Days” your new Ride Happy mantra. The low-step frame and upright position will have testy hips, knees, and necks chiming in with “No Big Deal!” Whichever acronym you choose and whether you’re running errands, on your way to work, or enjoying your daily ride, the NBD feels comfy and welcoming—just like your favorite bike should be.
We get it. Riding a bike on the road with cars can be intimidating, especially when you're just getting started. With a little practice, planning, and these helpful tips, you'll build your confidence to enjoy all the incredible benefits of hopping on your e-bike and getting around town with ease.
I damaged my remote control by turning the bike upside down to work on the wheels. I was unaware that I was damaging the sensitive touch control surfaces. So I ordered a replacement. Turns out that all I had to do was clean the touch surfaces of grit and dirt for them to work again. I now have a clamp that protudes from the grips so that the bike rests upon the clamp instead of the remote, and I still have the back up remote control.
This is a well thought bag that has served me well over the last few weeks. It will hold a large bag of groceries and even has a beverage holder for a thermos. There is a hole in the bottom in case fluid gets into the bag. It collapses into a very flat form factor when not in use and has easy to use clasps with expansion capabilities. I am very happy with it, since it really turns my Tern Vektron e-bike into a utility vehicle rather than just a good way for me to get around my city.
I bought this bike to replace a Gocycle GS. There is a lot to like about the Cube
1. Superb build quality: the welds are smooth, the frame is very solid, and all this is evident in the stable and quiet ride.
2. Bosch mid drive motor is provides power very naturally. You get the feeling that the motor is helping you pedal. Unlike hub motor bikes where you feel the motor is pulling you along.
3. Excellent range: I can easily get 70 miles of range on a combination of eco and tour modes.
4. Competitive pricing: its about $300-$1500 cheaper than Tern/R&M/Flyer bikes with similar specs.
My main complaints are
1. The bike is a bit heavy. To be fair, the weight is comparable to other 20-inch mid drive bikes.
2. Would prefer an internal gear hub and belt drive.
