Bianchi Aria e-Road
The Bianchi Aria e-Road is getting a lot of attention, and for good reason. Notable features include:
Fully integrated minimalist electric motor and battery for a sleek, stylish look
Powerful rear hub motor, with a slim 40mm wide 250W battery
Assistance controls are flush-fit and unobtrusive in the top tube
Ability to automate assist levels via rider heart rate linking
7.7 lbs. total weight for the motor and battery, with zero motor drag
In a sentence...we have looked far and wide for our first e-Road bike, and the Aria e-Road is a clear winner! A great option for riders looking to start road biking, increase the length of rides, or continue to keep charging with a little assistance.
I'm so happy with this bike. I bought it to be able to keep up with my super fast husband on rides up the steep canyons in Utah. It hasn't disappointed!! Riding up challenging canyons is now fun! It is still a lot of work to ascent, but this bike gives me the extra power I needed. And the disc brakes downhill are super smooth and engaging. I absolutely love this bike!! For an ebike it is also quite light and amazing for easy handling. Seriously couldn't be happier with this purchase!!
I bought this bike to replace a Gocycle GS. There is a lot to like about the Cube
1. Superb build quality: the welds are smooth, the frame is very solid, and all this is evident in the stable and quiet ride.
2. Bosch mid drive motor is provides power very naturally. You get the feeling that the motor is helping you pedal. Unlike hub motor bikes where you feel the motor is pulling you along.
3. Excellent range: I can easily get 70 miles of range on a combination of eco and tour modes.
4. Competitive pricing: its about $300-$1500 cheaper than Tern/R&M/Flyer bikes with similar specs.
My main complaints are
1. The bike is a bit heavy. To be fair, the weight is comparable to other 20-inch mid drive bikes.
2. Would prefer an internal gear hub and belt drive.
