27.5" wheels. The solution for many riders. With 27.5 inch wheels, you'll find increased roll-over, momentum and traction along with less rotational weight and more agility than 29 inch wheels. SCOTT's design ensures balanced stability, performance and momentum for your epic rides.
Boost technology. Developed by SRAM, Boost has become a hub and drivetrain standard that improves wheel stiffness and clearance. SCOTT has gone above and beyond the Boost basics by optimizing frame design and geometry. The 3mm outboard chain ring on the E-Spark 710 adds clearance in the chain stay area and increases the chain stay tube cross-section - as a result, the frame's stiffness is also improved. Adjustments to frame geometry, such as shorter chainstays for more agility, are made possible with the wider range of positions for the rear wheel.
Carbon linkage. Through a compression molding process, the Spark carbon linkage is built. Weighing in at 37 grams lighter than its aluminum equivalent and half the weight of the previous Spark linkage, the result is a sleek linkage that does not sacrifice stiffness.
TwinLoc Technology. SCOTT's patented system allows for the most efficient bike handling in any terrain. The rider can choose between 3 modes for different geometry and settings. 'Climb' enables full lockout for smooth, efficient climbing. 'Traction Control' mode opens up the front suspension fully while keeping the rear suspension to reduced travel, also changing the geometry to a better pedaling position. 'Descend' mode fully opens up the front and rear for cushy, safe, fun descents with maximum travel.
Shimano E-8000 Series Battery. Low profile design meets powerful performance. Designed specifically for MTB needs, the E-8000 battery has been increased to 500Wh and can be recharged in only 5 hours. Offering 36V of nominal voltage and more than 1000 charging cycles, the battery is also easy to remove for charging, storage or transport. The low profile improves both impact and vibration resistance - sound incredible? We agree.
Shimano E-8000 Series Display. Shimano hit it out of the park with their new color display. It is compact, integrates seamlessly onto the handlebar, and offers complete connectivity with Shimano Di2 components for individual info settings. The new display also includes Bluetooth connectivity capabilities and a switch with a similar feel to a gear shifter.
Shimano E-8000 Series Drive Unit. Shorter chain stays, more tire clearance and a power output of 250W are the name of the game for the new E-8000 drive unit. The compact design, specifically reflecting mountain biking needs, combines with the lightweight battery and BB axle to achieve optimal handling and ride feel.
